The crossover segment is gaining a new contender with the unveiling of the new Mitsubishi ASX at the Geneva motor show in March
Already on sale in Japan as the RVR, the newcomer is similar in size to Nissan’s popular Qashqai, with seating for five in its compact body. Up front, power will come from a brand new 1.8-litre turbodiesel engine, mated to a six speed manual gearbox and features stop/start technology. The new unit is able to meet the tougher new Euro V emissions regulations. The new ASX will sit underneath the Outlander in Mitsubishi’s model range and will be on sale in the UK this summer.
