The Geneva motor show will be a busy one for Mazda, as not only will it be showing off its brand new 5 people carrier, but it has also treated its large car, the 6, to a nip and tuck
On sale in the spring, the 6 features the new Mazda family face with fresh headlamps, a redesigned front bumper and grille and revised rear light clusters. Inside, there’s new piano black and chrome detailing to give a more upmarket feel. As with the outgoing model, there’s a choice of three 2.2-litre turbodiesel engines, but this time with power outputs ranging from 127bhp to 178bhp, and with improvements made to enhance fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. Other improvements under the skin include changes to the chassis to improve handling and ride, and the availability of hill launch assist, together with active front headlights for the first time. The revised Mazda6 will arrive in UK showrooms in the spring, with diesel prices expected to start from £17,500.
