Nissan’s new NV200 light commercial vehicle is about to go on sale in the UK, and the Japanese automaker has revealed a concept sketch of an electric van based on the same vehicle
The newcomer is central to Nissan’s new electric vehicle policy and is designed as a lowcost, versatile commercial vehicle for use in urban areas that have restricted access for vehicles that produce CO2 emissions. The new van is part of a fourpronged attack into the electric vehicle market, with the Leaf going on sale in Europe in 2011. An Infiniti badged electric compact car will follow, with the LandGlider – a concept combining the best attributes of a motorbike and car – currently under consideration for production.
