Toyota dismiss electronic fault as basis for recall
By Adam Sloman Toyota have moved to dismiss any claims that an electrical, rather than mechanical fault is to blame for the worldwide recall of over eight million cars. A study delivered to the US congress in February suggested that faulty electronics were to blame. However the Japanese giant stated the problem has been caused by the pedal itself, combined with obstructing floor mats, and that the repaired cars will now operate safely. ...More
